Kalamunda History Village...

the biggest folk museum in Western Australia

The Kalamunda History Village is the biggest folk museum in Western Australia and has been built around the old Kalamunda Railway Station.

The History Village features over a dozen restored heritage buildings and historic displays, including the towns first school, post office and several old houses.

A few minutes walk from the History Village, historic Stirk Cottage was Kalamunda's first home and is open to the public every Sunday.

Kalamunda’s History is also reflected in the History Village with a steam train permanently stopped at the original Kalamunda Station.

Tours of the History Village are conducted for school groups, visitors and tourists.

Take a journey through time at ...................

..................... a local history museum of distinction

Kalamunda History Village nestles amongst trees around the original Kalamunda station buildings, which are heritage listed. Other heritage buildings have been relocated to the site resulting in a village-like visitor experience. Evocative displays of the timber industry, orchards, domestic life, school, postal services and the development of transport fascinate all ages.

Extensive educational program, school holiday program and group tours available.
